1. Initial Evaluation: We began by surveying the garden in its current state. It was cluttered, with sharp slate chippings, worn flower beds, and an aging fence and shed.
2. Ground Preparation: Using a mini digger, we levelled the ground and removed the old shed, laying the groundwork for the upcoming changes.
3. Creating a Solid Base: Adding hardcore/subbase provided a stable foundation, replacing the former slate chippings and ensuring durability for the garden’s new features.
4. Reinforcing Boundaries: Fence posts were firmly set into concrete, defining the garden’s borders and providing privacy and security.
5. Adding Character: Featheredge boards were carefully attached to the fence frame, adding charm and character to the space.
6. Patio Renewal: We rejuvenated the existing patio by jet washing it, bringing back its original colour.
7. Framing the Area: A wooden edge was set in concrete around the perimeter of the old slate chipping area, creating a neat border for the artificial grass installation.
8. Layering for Longevity: Sand was added on top of the hardcore subbase, followed by a membrane, providing a stable base for the artificial grass to thrive.
9. Laying the Grass: Artificial grass was laid meticulously, transforming the space into a lush, child-friendly area for relaxation and play.
10. Seamless Integration: Specialised tape was used to join the sections of artificial grass seamlessly, creating a natural and cohesive look.
11. The Final Result: The garden underwent a remarkable transformation, featuring a cleaned patio, a child-friendly artificial grass area, and a new featheredge board fence—a true testament to the power of thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship.
