What is Tarmacadam?
Tarmacadam is a popular method of creating a hardstanding area. Most commonly used for surfacing driveways, tarmacadam is often thought to be a cheaper alternative to block paving when in reality they are similarly priced and in some cases tarmacadam can be more expensive. Tarmacadam can be used for paths, driveways and forecourts as it is able to withstand vehicle and foot traffic.
Tarmacadam can improve the look of your home or property and by adding paved borders using cobble or block paving it will enhance the look even further. For large areas of tarmacadam we can add decorative paved breaks, which will break up the repetitive colour created by tarmacadam while adding strength.
