Block Paving for Driveways and Patios

Block Paving

What is Block Paving?

Block or brick paving is a common, decorative method used to create an area of hardstanding. This has been a very popular choice of surface as the individual blocks that make up the pattern can be lifted should any remedial work underneath be required. Damaged or stained blocks can also be replaced easily. We typically use block paving for driveways, paths and patios as the interlocking blocks offer a strong, sturdy surface.

Block paving can be laid in a range of patterns, the strongest and most common being herringbone. Other patterns include stretcher bond and basketweave which are more suited to receiving foot traffic due to their weaker bond. There are different colours of block which can be laid singularly or mixed to create interesting colour patterns.
